Staff at NBS TV are on cloud 9 after President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni shared a screengrab of the station.

In a tweet on Thursday, Museveni shared a photo of a television screen showing NBS TV, which was streaming the budget speech live from Parliament.

The photo’s caption read: “This afternoon at State House Entebbe, through a technology platform, I participated in the presentation of the national budget to Parliament.”

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the budget ceremony was carried out in a scientific manner, with President Museveni addressing Parliament and the world from State House.

For the Kin Kariisa-owned station that’s made a visible-for-all effort to be on top of the news at all times, advanced technology has been at the forefront, enabling them to be an authority on major happenings, especially with their coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic. They have also been able to position themselves as the kings of live coverage.

Recently, Ministry of Health officials were seen watching NBS TV’s sister station, Salam TV. These surely are major wins for the Kamwokya based Media House.
