Uganda’s first rising TV station, NBS Always, will tonight premiere their 9PM English news bulletin dubbed Live at 9.

NBS Live at 9 will take over as the Kamwokya station’s new English bulletin. It was launched with a pre-live party that took place at the stations premises today. The program closes the gap between what other stations have been giving viewers with a lot of detail.

The new program comes weeks after the NBS TV management hired several top news men and women from other TV stations to make a strong team for as they get ready to set the trend. “We believe it is going to be the most competitive bulletin for all. We are putting it at 9 because we believe that our viewers are all set by that time to watch the news,” said NBS TV’s news manager.

The news program is seen as a direct competitor for NTV Tonight that is meant to drive ratings away from NTV Uganda to NBS TV.
