Celebrated rapper Navio has opened up about his life, revealing that for 10 years he lived as a celebrity before the public learned about his family background.
“I was a celebrity for 10 years before people knew about my family,” Navio said while appearing in an interview with Galaxy TV.
Navio, whose real name is Daniel Kigozi Jr., comes from one of the wealthiest and most influential families in Uganda.
He is the son of engineer Daniel Serwano Kigozi and physician Dr. Maggie Kigozi (née Blick).
He is also the youngest in the family, with an elder brother and sister.
Despite his privileged background, Navio’s success in music has always been credited to his talent and hard work.
Over the years, he has remained one of Uganda’s most respected rappers, known for hits such as Ngalo, Bugumu, and Otyo.
His remarks highlight how he managed to establish his name in the music industry before people associated him with the Kigozi family legacy.
