According to reliable sources, Police officers in charge of security singled out a one Jamil Sewanyana, the Namboole manager accusing him of negligence on duty following a total black out last night in Namboole which lasted approximately 8 minutes as Uganda Cranes played against Guinea in the African Cup qualifiers.
The black out was so much a disgrace especially in the VVIP section several dignitaries including Vice President Edward Ssekandi and Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi were enjoying the match from. This happened in the second half of the game and lasted for 8 minutes but luckily enough Geoffrey Massa had already saved the Uganda cranes team by walloping the Guinea Team 2 goals in the 22nd and 42nd minute of first half.
Due to such untold shame, Uganda Police forces at the scene were ordered to detain Jamil Sewanyana, the assigned manager of the stadium due to negligence. The man was singled out purposely because he assured the people in charge that the money he was handed to work on the flood lights was used appropriately yet it turned out in the end the he didn’t use the funds appropriately and satisfactorily.
