Having released a “fighter” song late last year, Naira Ali’s song was chosen to be the theme song at the fighter’s awards slated for 27th February where both boxers and kick boxers are going to be awarded for their great job done under the theme “Celebrating the Uganda’s legacy of boxers and kick boxers“.

Naira pocketed enough to push her into putting aside all her plans for that day and pledge to attend and perform during the awards that will be held at Hotel Africana.

According to the C.E.O of the event Eddie Bazira, in spite of the great achievements of these persons coupled with the honor and publicity offered to our nation, the nation has barely participated in their nurturing to stardom, nor facilitated their well being in retirement (where many live desperately).

It is on this backdrop that Baltic Pro Box Promotions Group came up with a noble idea of honoring these great fighters both boxers and kickboxers in the first “FIGHTER AWARDS EVENT”. The social event is to also act as a fundraising avenue through which tokens are to be awarded to different sportsmen/fighters of yesteryears.
