On October 4, 2024, Nabisunsa Girls School welcomed Topowa Youth Mentoring Uganda for an inspiring session focused on drug and alcohol abuse awareness.

The dynamic event aimed to educate students on the pressures they face, particularly concerning substance abuse. Through an interactive Q&A, engaging talks, and a dramatic performance illustrating the consequences of addiction, the mentors delivered a clear and powerful message: “The choices you make today shape your tomorrow.”

Led by Sulaiman Katongole, the team shared personal stories, eye-opening facts, and practical strategies for resisting drugs. Their message resonated deeply, with one student, Aisha, reflecting, “This was such an eye-opener. I feel more confident now to make the right decisions.”

Topowa’s mission extends beyond mere awareness—it’s about empowering students to become role models and advocates for a healthy, drug-free future for themselves and their communities. As their nationwide tour continues, the message remains clear: stand tall, make smart choices, and protect your future.
