Recently, Mikie Wine graced Ugandans with a new song. While he sampled the song on his social media platforms, very many fans excitedly came out to state that the song could be directed to a one Fangone forest champ.
In this song, Mikie Wine advises against what has become widely known as “egaali” , stating that keeping “egaali” could become one of the worst decisions for anyone as it does not yield positive results.
In this song, Mikie emphasizes that he has also been a ghetto youth before and he was also part of a huge crew (egaali) but he is now a responsible man and a father so he sees no need to indulge in such activities.
In this song, Mikie Wine aligns the negative attributes that come with musicians keeping large crews of people around them, saying that as people who have done this before, they know the danger that comes with crew activities.
Egaali or a musician crew has become rampant with musicians, most especially those with ghetto affiliations. Musicians move around with a huge crew of ghetto youths following them around, backing them up and sometimes starting fights with rival crews.
However much netizens seem to be having a field day while choosing to dedicate his new release to Alien Skin, Mikie Wine has come out to argue that the entire World does not revolve around Alien Skin and his song is not about the Fangone forest general.
Mikie Wine has stated that his song is meant to educate youths who indulge in the act, not specifically one man as many musicians have the “egaali” , not Alien Skin alone. According to Mikie, if Alien Skin ever feels bothered about this song, he should make peace with it and just check himself and his behavior.
“This song is not about one man. It is a song I decided to put out there to educate the ghetto youth. If anyone ever feels attacked, they should consider checking themselves out. This World does not revolve around Alien Skin. It is not a song for him but rather a song for everyone like him.” He states.
Despite his explanation however, the public opinion has not wavered and netizens still think he directed the song to Alien Skin
