Golden Band singer Stecia Mayanja has defied her parent’s orders and decided to carry on with her wedding plans. Stecia’s parents had earlier cancelled the wedding calling Stecia’s husband-to-be a conman. However, it seems Stecia is having none of that.
Stecia, who confessed at her Kasiki that she had finally found her ‘Mr. Right’ and would love Abbas to her grave, has kept her solemn promise. Not even her parents can come between her and her man.
According to one of the organisers, fellow Golden band member Sekamate Grace, the wedding will go on as planned. She made the announcement on facebook where she posted: “Embaga ya leero okuwowa kwa saawa mukaga ekibuli olwo abagole basembeze abagenyi babwe ku saawa 10 elugogo ku exhibition hall tubaniliza mwena kulwokwagala kwa katonda mu maaso gge tewali kitasoboka ne kino kiwedde.”
Meanwhile, Stecia Mayanja and the groom Abbas Mubiru will walk down the aisle this afternoon. The couple will wed at Kibuli Mosque and later host their guests at U.M.A exhibition Hall where the reception will take place.
