Sad news reaching our desk indicates that talented singer Richie Kats, real name Richard Kato, has passed away in a nasty car accident along Kampala-Mityana road.
Ugandan artistes, family and friends have started sending their condolence messages mourning the death of their fellow colleague who has been influential in the music industry.
Singing diva Leila Kayondo who has been one of the close friends to the singer couldn’t believe it after receiving the sad news and here’s what she posted: “God nooooo!!! Not twin friend Richard. Nedda mukama. We had just talked, Munange Richard your phone is off . I thought you would answer and laugh out loud n tell me it’s a joke, I can’t take this pain”.
This is a great loss to the Ugandan music fraternity and may his soul rest in peace!
