Newbie musician, Lydia Jazmine, who broke out with a song called U Know, which is her collabo with singer Rabadaba divulged her music plans for the future in an interview.
The singer who admires Gagamel boss, Bebe Cool, because of his ‘promotion abilities’ that have seen him help other artistes like Rema and Edith K rise to the top, said that her plans for the future in the music industry is to work with fellow artistes and grow bigger.
Jazmine who is a student at Multi-tech Institute doing a business administration and management course said that she will work with several artistes so that she can lead the pack of upcoming female artistes of her generation.
Here is what she said; “I’m looking at working with a number of artistes like David Lutalo, King Saha, Maro, Angelina, Anita da Diva and Sheeba among others. I’m basically going to be working hard to lead the pack of upcoming female artistes of this generation.”
Jazmine also shared her music challenges, mainly dwelling on how expensive it is to produce good music in Uganda at the moment and the negative energy created by the media. “Music is so expensive to produce these days, yet fans want the best. Recording, shooting videos, promotion and so on, all require money. And the other challenge is the negative or false stories by the media. Those stories weaken our fanbase because they believe everything they read,” she said.
The 23-year old who was dating until recently, is known for her songs Gwendota, Mwagala Biriyo and Mulungi Wange.
