Fresh from charges of copyright infringement brought against him by the late Elly Wamala’s family, singer, songwriter Geoffrey Kigozi aka Geosteady has defiantly announced the Viola album launch.
You see, this man was arrested at Katwe Police station after Elly Wamala’a widow Drucilla Wamala brought charges of Copyright infringement and plagiarism against him for re-doing her late hubby’s song without express permission.
The upcoming artistes ignored police summons and when he least expected it, he was collected and taken to jail, Drucilla then asked for 40,000,000shs as compensation. He refused to pay but reached a different deal with Phiona Mukasa the daughter of the deceased.
Geosteady was released after some settlements were done with Drucilla and his first announcement after his release was an album launch using the same title of the song that caused him so much trouble with the law.
