Music Video Review: Ryomboka by Daxx Kartel

Published

on

Much as Daxx Kartel sings in an alien, unusual style, his videos always carry themselves with wit. The lad who confessed to be versed with Latin comes with Ryomboka. It tends to borrow its routes from Lingala, and the video shows lads wiggling their waists, throwing their legs sideways, going up-and-down on a street. Daxx, with his blinding red hairdo, chips in hemorrhaging his bollocks, fast as though he is paid top dollar per word he spews.

To me, the video looks crowded. It looks as though he called a million people to come and dance in front of the camera. You painfully struggle through the whole video. Creativity seems to have been folded gently and thrown out of the window. It brings on board minors who dance to the beat of the Mayan drums banged and pelted by Daxx Kartel. It is an eye-sore, really. But Daxx needs to be cut some slack for tumbling on the scene with his own style. It is reciprocated in his videos. They always have something unique hovering on them. They are unique; his dress-code sticks out like a hurting thumb.

He never looked a tad different in the Ryomboka video. Honestly, I don’t know what Ryomboka means. I squinted my eyes to have a glimpse of its meaning in the video but it all proved sheer futility. All I see are folks dancing themselves lame. Whatever it is, it is a failed coinage. The video seems to lack a smidgen of creativity. Whatever the director was smoking, or thinking, only the gods know. Daxx Kartel, however, needs to put subtitles to his songs for his ardent fans to click what he is saying. Someone tell Daxx. Someone. Anyone!

“It’s was a great morning as I presented a BUS to WAKISO GIANTS FC at the home ground in Wakiso.

Upon my recent travel around the USA 2018,

As I was on my way to Phoenix I fortunately sat next to one kind Man, As we chatted he took me though an adventure of his business. I also shared to him who I was which got him overwhelmed and upon off boarding the flight we shared contacts and promised to reach out each other again.

Yes we did when I met him again In Oregon, we talked about passions in which I told him of what I do beyond music. I love sports and – Wakiso Giants FC my team that I have loved and supported regardless!!

He picked a lot of interest and asked me what best he can contribute to us.

On more talk he mentioned that he had a bus company and asked Whether giving WAKISO GIANTS one would make a change. I was so happy and immediately reached the administration of this team because he only gave a bus to the team and wasn’t responsible to ship and pay tax for it.

Long story short the Bus is finally here and today morning I officially handed it to the team together with the FUFA president Mr. Moses Magogo

I am so proud that we have ability that we can exploit if given a chance. PURPLE SHARKS – Enjoy your bus LEONE ISLAND MUSIC EMPIRE” Chameleone affirmed.
