It looks like a katogo of lumonde, matooke, beans, peas, meat and posho, not so? I mean, no one saw this collaboration coming. It is a mixture of English and Lusoga. A catalogue of two completely unrelated dialects. However, was it a good marriage? Oh, by Jove, it was. First, these two are talented souls. The Mith has always been one of the best on the Hip Hop arena. Maro? Well, he is the RnB Kyabazinga; you are not given that crown when you’re a clown.
Eh Mama is such a song that downtown folks would relate to. It robs its originality from the dated song we used to sing when we were still strapping little kids using potties and sucking thumbs. These lads went and slapped the dust off it and did a rendition. It takes brains and ingredients of creativity, which the two have.
Eh Mama is not your usual Hip Hop song simply because it has The Mith in it. Eh Mama is not your usual RnB song simply because it has Maro in it. It is just a good song grappling with the right genre to fall. Maro’s vocals are such bewitching and extremely good that, on the chorus, he makes that old song seem so new and sweet on the ear. Actually, Maro sells this song out; he salvages it. He pumps air into its bags and The Mith makes it flourish with his two cents of bars. Good song, this one! Eh Mama…
