Blankets and Wine, a social assembly where the middle class and the pretentious upper-brow class gather and lay their insecurities in the sun. An event where girls look unnaturally beautiful than usual. And the latest edition of Blankets and Wine which took place on Sunday at Uganda Museum will keep in people’s minds for a while.
Rain had threatened to kill the vibe. Thankfully, it didn’t. In fact, the weather was too perfect for the picnic-like event. Gates were opened as early as 1pm. It filled up by 3pm, with fun-loving folks; all looking stylish and beautiful. Girls, too cute for our eyes. And the sun shone brightly as music blared away.
Peformances came through as well, with Suzan Kerunen soothing the audience. Other performances came from Janzi Band. One of the headlining artistes, Eric Wainana serenaded the audience. People danced and shouted and took selfies. Radio and Weasel were the last performers of the evening. Everyone raised on their feet and danced to every song they pelted.
