Speaking at the handover today, MultiChoice General Manager, Charles Hamya said, “MultiChoice is very conscious of its responsibilities in the communities we serve. We also understand that partnerships such as this with Rotary are important if we are to ably reach out to multiple communities in improving their lives, especially those less privileged. As part of our corporate social responsibility, this sponsorship is one of the many ways Multichoice is giving back to the community for its support over the years.”

Receiving the sponsorship on behalf of the organizers was Rotary District Governor Bob Wagwa Nsibirwa who thanked Multichoice, pledging that the funds received would go directly to serving the community.

“100% of the funds donated to Rotary go directly to serving the community because as Rotarians we volunteer to serve. We do not remove anything for salaries, allowances or even transport for ourselves,” Rotarian Nsibirwa said.

Over 16 Rotary and 16 Rotaract clubs are expected to participate in this event that is also being sponsored by KCB Bank.
