MultiChoice Announces THREE New Channels Coming to DStv this November

MultiChoice Group has announced the launch of three new channels – CuriosityStream, CBS Justice and Da Vinci. CuriosityStream and CBS Justice will air for the first time in Africa on DStv channels 185 and 170 respectively, to ensure fans of Factual Entertainment and True Crime stories enjoy their favourite programming on familiar channel destinations,  while kids education channel  Da Vinci offers informative and fun learning from today on the Family package on DStv channel 318.

This news follows the recent announcement that the company has reached an agreement with A+E to extend the carriage contract for History and Lifetime which continue to air on DStv alongside the new channels.

In October, the company hinted at plans to launch channels aimed at delivering new titles and genres that viewers will enjoy, including among others blue chip documentaries, history and entertaining factual shows.

“We’re thrilled to finally announce the launch of these channels that will expand the line-up of new programming for our DStv customers to enjoy,” says Yolisa Phahle, CEO of General Entertainment at MultiChoice Group. “CuriosityStream will give our viewers informative entertainment that the family can enjoy together and it’s with great pride that we are able to launch CBS Justice, a new true crime channel which is part of the CBS AMC Networks EMEA portfolio of channels. We’re also delighted to expand our kids offering with Da Vinci just ahead of the holiday season.”

Looking at some of the world’s most compelling true crime cases, CBS Justice, which is a joint venture between AMC Networks International – UK and CBS Studios International, will launch in Africa on DStv channel 170, and will feature a curated selection of original and acquired programming. The launch line up of CBS Justice will include original productions The Real Prime Suspect, Donal MacIntyre’s Murder Files, Secrets of a Psychopath, Evidence of Evil; and acquisitions Cold Justice, Fame Kills and Stalker!. All the cases brought in front of DStv viewers will be presented and investigated by leading experts such as Jackie Malton (The Real Prime Suspect), the real-life inspiration behind Helen Mirren’s character in the award-winning UK drama Prime Suspect, and undercover investigative journalist and professor of criminology, Donal MacIntyre (Donal MacIntyre’s Murder Files).

FINALLY: Bad Black has received her money

City Socialite Bad Black has finally received her money. The motormouthed mother of 3 who took part in a campaign to sensitize girls about the dangers of coronavirus has been paid today.

Black who for weeks has been making noise for whoever cares to here confirmed to us today that she has her money and is happy.

It all started when she shot the ad under Precision Media and later demanded 500 million yet there was no paperwork signed for this. The ministry who were the client for this said that there was no arrangement for Black to be paid and so did the agency called Precision Media.

Black went haywire on the internet, saying that she had been used and now the owners of the ad were claiming that this was her voluntary contribution to the fight against COVID19.

Yesterday, after so much noise had been made, NRM Mobilizer and Radio 4 owner, Promoter Balaam gave her an audience together with her lawyers. An agreement was signed and Black would receive her money today.

Today, the undisclosed sum of money which was packed in hard cash in a boz was handed over to the city socialite who seemed very happy to receive her money.

Black on receiving the money and signing for it said that; “I am signing for my money. I have received the money after 2 weeks. The supporters of NRM worked together to make sure I got my payment. I don’t have any shilling am demanding now. I will not cause any fracas anymore. We have made an agreement and I have been paid. I have nothing bad to say about president Museveni. I have the money now and it is very heavy. I got cash, not cheque, I always want my money in cash. Thank you very much.”

The B2C’s (Kampala Boys) ‘Munda Awo’ fresh release this week is earning a impressive reception from both radio and TV airwaves.

It has come to our notice that, not only the song quality but also the video is scooping enormous attention and delight from the public after NTV Uganda’s presenter, Lynda Ddane featuring in it.

It’s no doubt that Lynda is currently the main talk in the entertainment industry for countless reasons that predominantly men would table and maybe, a few women to spice it up.

One among these are, her gorgeousness, eloquent possessiveness, versatility that have obtained her a reputable position better place above her contenders of this generation.

In this video, Lynda showa off her weapons emphasized with a typical sense of style and seductive dance moves, it being a love song.

As often known for never disappointing when it comes to dressing, popular city fashionista, Abryanz did execute trendy sessions more than anyone expected for Lynda and the music trio.

This dress code outrightly merged Lynda’s brown body that would suddenly invite anyone to an intimate moment with her.

‘Munda Awo’ is in Luganda local language to mean ‘Inside there’ and the song derives a message of a better place where someone in love desires to be in his/her partner’s life.

Written by the Kampala boys themselves, the song production was satisfied with a production from, Nessim Pan (Shot Gun Studios) and the furnishing done by Anel Tunes.

The self-proclaimed ‘God’s Last borns’ clearly highlighted their sentence in this project as they preferred visuals from video director ‘Aaronaire on set’.

Munda Awo is currently, trending in the 8th position of the most viewed videos on YouTube in Uganda.

Apparently, Lynda is keen on continuously enrolling her unsung gift in the video vixen plot.

Iryn Namubiru To Headline The World Music Day Online Concert This Sunday

Ugandan sensational songstress, Iryn Namubiru has been named as the main artist to showcase at the World Music Day virtual concert that will be going down tomorrow, Sunday, 21st June at 7PM.

The concert is a joint-package from the French Embassy and Talent Africa Group.

Other artists lined-up to serenade in the live music night are; Suzan Kerunen, Joel Bunjo, Dodova, Cojack, Sara Vauclair, and Herbert Ssensamba.

Its live streams have been aligned via Facebook pages; Alliance Française, Bonjour Kampala, Talent Africa group and Ambassade de France en Ouganda.

Bringing a fresh touch to Online music concerts as the Lockdown comes to an end, London based singers AVM, Kleo and DJ Nectar have joined forces to stage a massive online music concert on 20th June 2020.

Proudly backed up by Blizz Uganda, The “End of Lockdown Part One” Music concery is going to be streamed live on all social media platforms as Ruby Lounge London and Channelueast presents AVM, Kleo and DJ Nectar in End of Lockdown Concert part 1. Online concert this Saturday 20 June starting at 8.00pm EAT.

The music concert has come at a time when everyone is anticipating for the end of Lockdown and incase another comes, AVM has promised a Part Two of the concert that will be streamed on her Facebook page AVM Music, and on Blizz Uganda Facebook page.

Who is AVM?

Alice Violet Mutumba “AVM” has been in the entertainment industry since the age of 6 years starting as a child TV star in her beloved Uganda. She moved to London, England at the age of 8 and it was in the UK where she nurtured her varying talents, including, singing, song writing, basic music production, TV presenting, acting, events management (Creator and Executive producer of Music On The Catwalk a live fashion and Music event.

Who is Kleo?

Kleo, real names Katelyn Namiiro Kaboya left Mulago and moved to the United Kingdom at 8months. Starting of as a model,actor and dancer, at the age of 17, The Business and Events Management Graduate became one of the youngest talented females in the uk. In 2012 Kleo took the UK by surprise, as she became one of the finalists in the MOBO UNSUNG COMPETITION. She released a line of new singles and videos introducing her sensational diversity, sexy elegance and superior lyrics and she has never looked back again.

Who is DJ Nectar?

DJ Nector Started dejaying 2016 at Nile bar north London with an aim as a deejay to rise Ugandan music to the top of the world and get to be known. He has worked with so many artists and other deejays both from Uganda and international. He is also an in house deejay at kingsbull London at the moment.
