Dancehall singer Mudra D’ Viral has commented on the recent rivalry between rapper Gravity Omutujju and singer Mikie Wine, attributing the tension to political influences.

The two artists held concerts on the same day, leading to a direct competition for audiences.
Mudra D’ Viral believes the underlying issue stems from politics.
“I think it’s insinuated by the political interference which in the long run crossed to their fans. Both support different political parties,” he explained.
Mikie Wine, the younger brother of singer and politician Bobi Wine, has been vocal about his political affiliations, which Mudra D’ Viral suggests contributed to the division between the fan bases of the two artists.

Gravity Omutujju, who is associated with a different political stance, saw a smaller turnout at his event compared to Mikie Wine’s.
Mudra D’ Viral, who also faced a similar challenge when his concert coincided with rising singer Acidic Vokoz’s, highlighted how political differences can influence fan loyalty and affect concert attendance.
The competition between Gravity Omutujju and Mikie Wine last week ended with Mikie Wine drawing a significantly larger crowd, further sparking debate about the role of politics in the entertainment industry.
