MUBS brush off Kyambogo in the University League quarter finals

University league defending champions, Makerere University Business School (MUBS) brushed off Kyambogo University in a 2-1 victory at a neutral ground in Luzira.

The match was played at a neutral ground of Luzira Prisons stadium following the violence that has always dominated the two sides’ fixtures.

The fixture was the last of the four first leg quarter final matches as MUBS walked away with the advantage before the sides face off again in a fortnight in the return leg.

The second legs of the last eight kicks off next week when Nkumba University entertain Ndejje on Wednesday before Makerere University welcome KIU at Makerere grounds on Thursday.

Full First Leg Quarter final results:

Ndejje University 2-1 Nkumba University
KIU 1-2 Makerere University
UMU 2-0 UCU
Kyambogo University 1-2 MUBS

2nd Legs fixtures (in October 2015):

Wed, 7th– Nkumba University Vs Ndejje University – Nkumba University, Entebbe
Thurs, 8th – Makerere University Vs KIU – Makerere University Main Campus
Wed, 14th – Uganda Christian University Vs Uganda Martyrs University – UCU Main Campus, Mukono
Thurs, 15th – MUBS Vs Kyambogo – MUBS Campus, Nakawa
