“MTV is playing Bobi Wine’s Kampala,” a fan joked. In another way to make fun of Bobi Wine, fans have joked that the singer’s video is playing on MTV base almost everyday. In our quest to get to the heart of the matter, we found out that the joke about MTV meant Matugga Television which is not even existent.
Bobi Wine fans did not take the joke lightly as they immediately fired back. “Bobi Wine sings when he wants, its not about MTV, its about making the most out of your music and he is doing that,” a Bobi die-hard defended his icon.
Bobi Wine fans have further flocked MTV base twitter account asking them why they don’t play Bobi Wine songs on the channel. We could see Bobi Wine on a continental music station soon.
