MTN Uganda launches an Online Egg Hunt

Following the recent launch of its “Oh, the things you’ll learn” internet campaign that is running in all media, MTN Uganda will on Thursday 29th May launch an online Egg Hunt promotion.

The MTN Egg hunt will be hosted on www.MTNegghunt.co.ug and will be open to all MTN customers to participate in the first ever, purely online game where correctly answering questions to daily clues could win them a grand prize of UShs 5 million in cash. There will also be many daily prizes including airtime and phones. The Egg hunt will run from Monday to Friday for 6 weeks from 29th May to 9th July, and every day one clue will be given in different media from TV, print, radio, social media to which participants must go to www.MTNegghunt.co.ug to provide the answer.

This promotion is designed in line with MTN’s vision to lead the delivery of a bold, new Digital world and created specifically for our customers to experience and engage with us on digital platforms. We would love all our customers to experience the Internet by joining the fastest Internet in the New World to benefit from education and entertainment.

Today, MTN activated the MTN Egg hunt promotion in an exciting treasure hunt at Makerere University giving the students a chance to see what will be installed for them in the upcoming online Egg hunt. The activation saw 3 winners of treasure which included Shs. 500,000 and the newly launched Nokia X smartphone.

MTN Uganda Chief Marketing Officer, Ernst Fonternel, described the promotion as the first ever online promotion of its kind in the market, clearly emphasizing MTN’s interest in integrating Internet in everyday life of Ugandans.
