‘Bandoman’ the new personality unveiled to represent MTN Uganda as its brand ambassador, to connect with its wide base of customers, is set to captivate and entertain the public through inspiring performances and acts.
For the first time in 2015, MTN’s ‘Bandoman’ will take an active role on MTN Uganda’s social media channels and engage consumers using the hashtag #MTNBandoman. As ‘Bandoman’ begins his journey, he seeks to deliver to the masses on behalf of MTN the message that with MTN, great things happen to MTN customers anytime, anywhere.
As the official brand ambassador for MTN Uganda, ‘Bandoman’ will engage consumers by educating them and informing them about MTN products and services in a fun exciting way. Customers will in turn stand a chance to win as assortment of prizes for participating, at various locations countrywide.
According to MTN Uganda Chief marketing Officer, Mapula Bodibe, “We are proud to associate with Bandoman’, who truly reflects the entertaining, engaging and inspiring values and delivers on MTN’s mission of making our customers live’s a whole lot brighter.”
“Customers can expect to see Bandoman at the MTN service centers, dealer shops and could also easily be spotted at campuses, schools, shopping malls and events,” she noted.
She added that MTN is looking forward to an exciting second half of 2015 and is confident that this partnership will be mutually rewarding.
“’Bandoman’ will bring to life the essence of the MTN brand by connecting with our customers around the country. Whether he’ll be to educating customers about our products and services, such as ‘MTN voice bundles’ or simply answering our customer’s questions; he will reach out and connect to them in way that makes them feel at ease,” Mapula Bodibe said.
“He will keep us connected with our customers, allowing us to serve them with more urgency and attention. He is agile, nimble and a fun loving, Ugandan personality who epitomizes the Ugandan way of life. Anyone can easily relate to him,” she added.
It will be easy to identify with ‘Bandoman’ since he will be constantly sporting a smart, unique wardrobe, which will sometimes include an iconic ‘yello’ bow-tie accompanied by a well tucked- in shirt with ‘yello’ suspenders and a “yello” watch.
‘Bandoman’ will also connect with MTN customers through social media,meeting with ordinary people including the youth, entrepreneurs and even corporate personalities, whilst listening intently to ensure they are needs are heard and taken care off.
