MTN Uganda has boosted the 2016 Masaza Cup with fifty million shillings. MTN is the exclusive telecom sponsor for the Masaza Cup 2016.

The Masaza Cup is an annual football tournament that brings together all the 18 counties of Buganda Kingdom and the purpose is not only to promote sports in Buganda but to also encourage unity amongst all people living in the region.

“At MTN we are very keen at promoting activities that develop local talent and products that resonate with the needs of our customers. The Masaza cup gives us that opportunity to re-affirm this,” said the MTN Chief Marketing Officer Ms. Mapula Bodibe

MTN recently launched MoKash, the Mobile Money Micro Savings & Loans product, and Ms. Mapula commented that, “We’re using occasions like the Masaza Cup to educate customers on how to register for these services and get the best value from the MTN brand”.
