MTN and Hellofood Children’s X-MAS Party and launch of fundraising campaign “Feed A Child” to fight hunger

MTN-Hellofood children’s X-mas party – This is going to be a way for the underprivileged children get a feel of the festive season and Christmas spirit of giving. Every year during this period, people around the world celebrate and make merry: MTN and Hellofood plus their partners like Faze 2, Markitah juice, Yujo and Endiro joined together to give the kids a day to remember.

Children from dwelling places, Sasco, St Noah and Happy times, were picked up from their premises and all converged at the MTN arena in Lugogo, where they played games, ate lots of food, drunk juice, soda and water, got gifts from Santa and MTN’s Bando man, they were then dropped back to their respective homes.

From the 19th December to the 19th March of October, hellofood will be collecting its customers’ donations. One can donate money through a simple click on the hellofood platforms of either the app or the website using MTN mobile money and at the end of the campaign, they will purchase food items for orphanages in and around Kampala.

Mr. Ron Kawamara, Managing Director hellofood Uganda said, “Hellofood has a responsibility not just to our customers but we also want the underprivileged to have a decent Christmas meal. We have done this with all the holidays, and this year we are proud to partner with MTN for this event but also the feed a child campaign that will go on to raise millions for those in need. We will give the public a platform to also contribute to this endeavor by donating on the hellofood website and free app.
