Last week, 32-year-old Ivan Byekwaso won his first world title in the Body Building World Cup that took place in San Diego, Texas.
Ivan Byekwaso will return to a hero’s welcome this Wednesday, 18th November aboard Emirates, with his facilitator Jackson Pemba. He and his procession will go through town before the cocktail reception later that evening with the Honorable Minister of Sports, Charles Bakabulindi.
Ivan Byekwaso started bodybuilding in 2005 and has since won several titles which include; Mr. Kampala and Mr. Uganda five times, East African Champion two times, Musclemania Africa Champion one time, INBA 2014 World Championship in Slovakia, Bronze medalist for INBA in the United States in 2014, and now the INBA Natural Universe 2015 World Cup in Texas.
He will also take part in the Natural Olympia world title this weekend.
Pemba Sports Academy funded and coordinated Ivan Byekwaso’s past three trips to the different championships. Pemba Sports Africa is a sports development agency aimed at facilitating the development of sport through exposure of local sporting talent through exchange programs and clinics.
