The Mozambique Under-23 national team arrived yesterday evening at the Entebbe International Airport ahead of their weekend clash with the Uganda Kobs in the return leg of the All Africa Games qualifiers that will be played in the city center at Nakivubo Stadium.
A 27-man contingent arrived with all their foreign based players. Among them is team captain Clesio Bauque who features for Benfica in Portugal, Banze Gelicio (Dinamo Dresdus), Norberto Norberto (Hamburg) all who play in Germany and Faizal Bangul who plays for Atalanta in Italy.
Meanwhile, Uganda Under-23 head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sedrojevic dropped seven players from his final squad ahead of the Saturday clash. The seven players dropped include, KCCA’s Baker Lukooya, Simon Namwanja, Isaac Ntege, Timothy Awany, Hashim Sempala, Abdul Karim Kasule and Martin Opolot.

The Kobs managed to force Mozambique into a goalless draw during their away game in Maputo. The victor of the two sides (Uganda and Mozambique) will proceed to face off with Ghana in the final stage of the qualification campaign. The All African Games are due this year later in September and will be played in Congo Brazzaville.
