Movit Products Limited has donated assorted baby care products to Watoto Suubi village.

Through their Baby Junior brand, the cosmetics company donated items worth Ugx 10 million which included Baby Junior Bathing soap, Baby Junior Lotion, Skin Guard Hand sanitizer sprays, kids T-shirts, Puzzles and colouring books among others.

The Movit team lead by John Tumwesigye, the Trade Marketing Manager at Movit handed over the items to Pastor Steven Banyikiza Wamara who leads Suubi village.

John Tumwesigye acknowledged that COVID-19 pandemic has had far reaching negative impact on the economy as well as society and that is why they decided to reach out to Watoto Suubi village.

“All sectors have been hard hit by the COVID-19 pandemic but some even harder than others. Organisations like Watoto Child Care Ministries that are taking care of vulnerable children and orphans therefore need much more attention due to the magnitude of their responsibility.” John Tumwesigye said.

Mr. Tumwesigye further encouraged and appealed to individuals and organizations to come on board and support this great cause.

While receiving the items, Pastor Steven Banyikiza Wamara expressed gratitude to Movit Products Limited and revealed that the donation will go along way in helping the organisation take care of the children especially through this trying time of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We have been greatly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic because the people who support our activities have lost their jobs and income and yet there is still a prevailing need to help many.” Banyikiza said, adding that, “This partnership with Movit means a lot to us because it will help us reach out to more children to help them become the leaders that will transform Uganda.”

Watoto Suubi village is under the Watoto Child Care Ministries, a branch of the Watoto Church that provides for orphans and widows. It takes care of over 1000 children.
