When Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn decide to merge their talents again and put their satirical souls together, the outcome is bound to come off as witty, obviously. Funny as hell. At first, the title seems like it is a serious plot, you know; interns, blue-chipped companies with blokes in razor-sharp suits and all the whistles that come with internship, but it takes a different route, a funny route.
Starring as Billy and Nick, they are salesmen whose careers have been torpedoed by the digital world. They are having a fair share of the mid-life crisis, and so, they try to prove that they are not obsolete. They defy the odds by talking their way into a coveted internship at Google, along with a battalion of brilliant college students. But, they are old and they are only interns who stick out; they are not of the traditional collegiate age, and gaining entrance to this utopia is only half the battle. Now they must compete with a group of the nation’s most elite, tech-savvy geniuses also known as “Nooglers” to prove that necessity really is the mother of re-invention.
They tussle for various tasks and the group that comes off as a victor is guaranteed a fulltime job at Google. So Billy and Nick find themselves in a group with other interns; Yo-Yo, Stuart, and Neha and like expected, they win the darned tasks but amidst a bountiful of hurdles. Even though it feels like a two-hour Google advert, it will be worth your time. Like Wedding Crashers, you will laugh and fall off your chairs and pee in your pants.
