Ugandan Athletes Moses Kipsiro and Jackson Kiprop set new personal time records on Sunday as they took part in the Airtel Dehli Half Marathon in India.
Kipsiro lost the chance to win the marathon in the last 2km despite being in the lead group for the first 19km, finishing 8th in a new personal time record of 1:00:41.
On October 4th, Moses Kipsiro won the Great Scottish Run when he finished with a t time record of 1:02:18.
Meanwhile, counterpart Jackson Kiprop finished 14th with a new personal time record of 1:02:30. The new record is two seconds faster as compared to the one when he finished 7th at the 2012 World Half Marathon Championships in Karvana, Bulgaria.
Ethiopians stole the show finishing in the top two spots; Birhanu Legese and Mosinet Geremew respectively while Eritrea’s Zersenay Tadese came off third.
