Newly appointed KCCA FC assistant coach, Morley Byekwaso, who deputises head tactician Mike Ray Mutebi, is excited about working with Uganda Premier League reigning champions.
Byekwaso, a former player and coach at the lugogo based club, took part in the team’s first preseason training session on Monday and later on Tuesday but couldn’t avoid expressing his joy of working with the players and the technical staff who welcomed him with open arms.
“I feel like I have been here for months. The players welcomed me with smiles and those I have worked with before like Muzamir Mutyaba shared jokes with me. This is a great start and I hope the environment stays the same as we build a competent team for next season,” Byekwaso told the club’s official website.
The former SC Victoria University and Simba SC boss actively took part in the training and was seen leading players by example in drills. Hassan Wasswa Dazo, Paul Mucureezi and Jackson Nunda had light training sessions for the last two days as they continue to recover from minor injuries.
