Monalisa Bar, a popular hangout situated in Mengo, went up in flames last night and property worth millions of money was lost.

According to reports, some workers who rushed in to salvage their property from the burning structure attained severe injuries and were rushed to Mengo Hospital.

The cause of the fire is still unclear, however, some of the onlookers say that it came from the kitchen while others blame it on an electric short circuit.

The popular night spot which is said to have been owned by a south Sudanese Tycoon was burnt to ashes as the structure was roofed with thatching grass.

Police is still investigating the possible cause of the fire and is yet to release an official statement.

We will keep you posted.
