Manchester United pulled off a major coup this summer, signing Angel Di Maria from Real Madrid for £59.7m.
However, French media outlet Le 10 Sport yesterday revealed that Angel Di Maria had agreed to sign for big-spending Monaco well before the World Cup.
Monaco and Real Madrid had agreed a deal and Di Maria had agreed terms with the French club before delays on Monaco’s end led to a breakdown between the clubs.
PSG also only pulled out of a deal last minute due to Financial Fair Play regulations, with Manchester United taking advantage of the French clubs failings.
