Local TV stations in Uganda are now adopting local TV drama series as per guidelines from the Uganda Communications Commission where at least 70% of all programming should be local content.
Several local dramas production companies are being established to meet the increasing demand for local content. Kabareebe Doreen was contacted by one such company to be part of their production.
Doreen, a student at Nkumba University popularly known for her modeling career, will soon be on the TV screens.
It has been confirmed that Doreen will star in one of the locally made TV drama series known as “Campus Freaks” where she will be acting alongside the WBS morning show host Daniel Sebakigye. The drama series is expected to be out early August this year.
