Some people may not know her by her name but as “Mama Wabana” because of the spectacular job she has done in impacting lives of hundreds of children in this country.
A.J Dean is one of the most respected Christian/ Gospel musicians back home in Longmot CO.US who came to Uganda a couple of years ago for missionary work. She, however, did not leave her passion and talent as she’s been able to record a song with a Ugandan dubbed ‘jam dance’.
Walter WA, the CEO and producer at Emiziki studio located in Makerere LDC road next to Nana Hostel, recorded this ‘jam dance’ song and a club banger on which Dean features our own – Inner man, an upcoming gospel musician.
Today, D. Capital Pictures director and CEO, Digo together with Tumwesigye James of VIC media assembled whatever equipment that was necessary to have the video shoot kick started and at around 3pm, Jinja road round about was flagged down. People witnessed how videos are done and this took close to 3 hours of intensive coverage despite the challenging weather.
One of the actors in the video was the celebrated comedian Afande Kelekele who was acting as a policeman who despite long queues of cars stuck in jam was propelled by the great music that was coming out of a certain car to start dancing to the tune.
According to Dean, the motive of having the video concept rotating around traffic jam is to depict some of the hardships and challenges that Uganda undergoes and as a way of bursting the stress away, you can resort to ‘jam dance’.
