The reigning Miss University and a student at Kyambogo University, Atuhairwe Macklyne has already kicked off her works to better the lives of Ugandans
We have reliably learnt that Macklyne and her colleagues have organized a car wash and a yard sale where they will contribute money and food to supply to the people in Eastern Uganda especially schools the Teso Region.
While talking to Macklyne, she revealed how she is was so touched when she visited the region and found out how the people that side were suffering with hunger, a thing that made her fund raiser for them through a car wash that is slated to take place on 22nd of July at Panamera Bar parking
“It came to my notice that many students are failing to study because of the current famine that hit Teso region. Many of the schools are unable to provide food and so the students dodge school. But if we rise up as Ugandans. We can encourage them by giving them food so that education does not come to an end for them. Please let us all contribute something for this cause.” She told us
“We have Organized a car wash and a yard sale at Panamera on 22nd July where we shall sell items like household items, wall hangings, shoes, clothes, jewelry and electronics and get money to buy food for these children. In case you have items that we can sell that day, you can reach us for more information. We also intend to take farming tools like hoes for the women as many of them are in need of these to carry out agriculture.” She added
