Uganda’s hope of winning the prestigious Miss World could be over after our Stellah Nantumbwe could not make it to the finalists of the beach body contest and top model competition which according to fashion and beauty pundits is the yardstick upon which a new beauty queen is crowned.
Sadly, no one who failed to win either category or emerged a top contender in either contest has emerged victor at the world’s oldest and most prestigious beauty pageant.
However, she is still in competition for at least an accolade if you support her at the on going contest in Indonesia. She could scoop the Multimedia award, the sport, and talent prizes that still remain at large.
The great news is that you can contribute to that success by downloading the Miss World App on the official contest social media sites and also vote her for the ”People’s Choice” Award which is decided by you, the fans!
The peagent founded in 1951 has recorded four African winners with South Africa contributing half the number as Ethiopia and Nigeria met the other bargain.
The last crowned African queen was Nigeria’s Agbani Darego in 2001. Our very own beat 22 contestants to earn the crown.
Good luck Sweetheart. The Jewel of the Nile. The envy of all women. The face of the Pearl of Africa. The beauty with a purpose.
