Miss Uganda may have failed to win the coveted Miss World crown, but she still has something to smile about. Leah Kalanguka emerged among the top 25 beauties in the People choice category in the Miss World pageantry. The category was won by Thailand’s Nonthawan Thongleng.
Even though her crowning was marred by ferocious criticism on social media, the beauty queen has gone on to shine. Described by some as the quintessential African woman, the black beauty managed to stand off competition from 121 other contestants.
