Miss Uganda 2014, Leah Kalanguka, who is currently in London competing for the coveted Miss World crown remains undeterred from her dreams despite all the glitz and glamour she’s wallowing in.
Leah Kalanguka revealed, after being crowned Miss Uganda 2014, that she wanted to marry her profession (Computer Engineering) with agriculture. She vowed to develop software that would be helpful in changing the face of agriculture in the country.
The 23-year-old Computer Engineering graduate and former poultry farmer has not forgotten her roots and is still advocating for youthful involvement in agriculture.
“We all have a purpose in life,” Leah Kalanguka stated. “I choose to advocate for youth involvement in agricultural entrepreneurship to change their livelihoods because it holds the future (failure or prosperity) of our Ugandan (African) economy. What have you chosen to do? We all can make a difference in our countries.”
