Movit Products Limited, one of the leading cosmetics manufacturers in Uganda, has joined this year’s search for Uganda’s next beauty queen.
The cosmetics company has announced their partnership with the Miss Uganda beauty pageant and pledged their support with a Ugx 25 million boost ahead of the crowning ceremony slated for this Saturday, 15th October at Kampala Serena Hotel.
The partnership will run under the company’s ongoing campaign dubbed “Yolesa your Beauty with Movit” which seeks to boost the confidence of Ugandan women and encourage them to show their beauty.
Speaking at a press conference to announce the new partnership, Don Murungi, the Movit Products limited brand manager promised the company’s full support towards the pageant and encouraged women to always seize the opportunity to express and show off their beauty.
“The Miss Uganda pageant is not just a beauty pageant, but an opportunity for Ugandan women to express their beauty and abilities. The exposure gained from this journey will be invaluable and impact the young ladies positively for a lifetime,” Murungi said.
The Miss Uganda franchise owner and CEO of Kezzi Entertainment, Brenda Nanyonjo also used the opportunity to thank Movit for coming on board to support the pageant as they begin a new chapter.
“When I got the Miss Uganda license, I had a vision of running the franchise for 10 years. I am glad that as we open a new Miss Uganda chapter and embark on the next five years of my vision, we are opening it with Movit as beauty pageants world over are supported by beauty products companies.” She said.
Meanwhile, this partnership comes hot on the wheels of Movit’s own beauty pageant dubbed “Little Miss Movit” which aims at building confidence in the young generation. Habena Trisha, 10, from Lunayd Primary School, was crowned winner at UMA show grounds over the weekend.
