Miss Tourism Uganda on Friday last week held a media launch for this year’s contest. The launch took place at Explorer’s Hub in Kololo and this year, it will run under the theme Greening Tourism as it is in a norm for the Miss Tourism team to preserve the environment.

The media launch had in attendance the reigning Miss Tourism Uganda 2022/23 Sydney Nabulya together with other different beauty queens representing other regions. The pageant search is already on and the team will traverse 12 regions and choose the representatives who will vie for the top prize for the grand finale that will take place at Kampala Serena Hotel on September 9th.
This year’s Miss Tourism Uganda will mark 11 years ever since it was initiated by the Late Hon Maria Mutagamba, the former Minister of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities.

Different winners in the previous editions have kept the Miss Tourism team dream going. They have come up with different projects that have promoted Tourism over the years and it is what Miss Tourism Uganda lives for.
According to Ayisha Nagudi the CEO of Miss Tourism Uganda, the pageant is the one of the biggest platforms that promotes tourism and she called upon the government of Uganda and individuals to support the pageant.
