With the heavy ban on events due to the outbreak of Covid19, most events have been happening online and others have since then taken a break. The organisers of Miss Tourism Uganda, an annual pageant have come out and announced that the finals will be taking place this Sunday in Sseguku located on Entebbe road.
The Pageant according to the organisers has taken a new twist because of the pandemic and unlike the regional search to find a winner, the organisers decided to choose 5 contestants who took part in an online contest. According to Allan Kanyike, the CEO of Miss Tourism, the contestants were tasked to go online and showcase their knowledge for Tourism areas in Uganda and on Sunday, the judges will announce the best. The contestants include Jean corprise Akullo, Amaniyo Charity, kyomugisha Sonia, Agwang Prossy Permah and Atuheire Sheevon.
This years Miss Tourism will be supported by Uganda Airlines, Africell, Actnim and Alkebulan which are American charity oganisations.
