Finalists in the maiden Miss Madi beauty pageant have been unveiled.
The 14 beauties hailing from districts of Moyo, Adjumani, Pakele, and Pabo were unveiled to the public over the weekend at a very cheerful event that took place at Woodland cottages in Adjumani district.
The event started at around 8pm and the girls were unveiled to the audience, one by one, as they introduced themselves.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, Chadia Dorothy, the proprietor of Miss Madi revealed that the pageant is aimed at empowering young women in the region.
“This is the first time this is happening in our region. We are working to empower women to become ethical leaders and responsible citizens of tomorrow so as to make our region proud,” said Chadia Dorothy.
The beauties will go for a boot-camp before the overall winner is crowned on May 27 at the Mayors Gardens in Adjumani district.
