After a long tour across Uganda for over 5 months in search for the next Miss Teens, brainy, entrepreneur and fashionista, the contest is ripe for its grand finale. Come 31st this month, at 5000 shillings entrance fee, all roads will be leading to Kati kati for the finale. Over 150 contestants are going to be representing their regions and schools as they battle it out for the top prize―Miss Teens Crown, that comes along with a lot of other pecuniary benefits.
According to the brand manager of Mirinda Miss Bernadette Kiiza, they have lined up several prizes which include a full 1 year scholarship for the overall winner, a mega feast for her school and hard cash. 1st runner up will walk away with 2 terms scholarship, a smart phone and an I pad. 2nd runner up walks away with 1 term scholarship and a smart phone. Other prizes will be shared among other categories of contestants.
According to the ardent fans of the contest, contestants from St. Josephs Nsyambya, Eden International Mbarara and Gayaza girls have been tipped as the favorites for the much coveted crown. This presumption is based on their confidence, articulation, general knowledge and ability to express themselves.
The day will be graced by some of the Uganda’s finest musicians Mun G, Vamposs, Navio, Jackie Chandilu and comedians Dolibondo, Afande Kelekele, and Bright Onak.
