It has been a four month long search for girls that would represent their schools in the fields of Miss Fashionista, Miss Brainy, Miss Teens and Miss Entrepreneur. Most parts of the country were reached and took part in this event. The search team went to Bushenyi at Plus two High School, Mbale, Jinja at PMM girls and Kampala.

Over 400 girls have been part of this as they battled head to head on who gets crowned in the different fields. As the event progressed, the number kept on decreasing until the final day on Saturday 30th, August, when the overall winner was finally crowned Miss Teens 2013.

The grand finale started as early as 10 am with Miss Fashionista contestants hitting the run way showcasing different designs. Others had been evicted a day before during the rehearsals in the interest of time.

At the end of the day, St. Josephs Nsambya beat other schools as their student Patience Martha Ahabwe got crowned Miss Teens 2013. Patience proved to be the kind of girls that the judges, Koreta, Tatu, Babi and Nigel Nasser were looking for. She was a playful, intelligent, articulate and beautiful girl. She beat the likes of Joseline Babirye from Nabingo, Awori Patricia from Mbale, Manasoko Daniela Daniels from Eden International Mbarara, Jill Musoke Naluggwa from Gayayza Girls, Media Ketai from PMM girls Jinja among others.

Meanwhile, the Mirinda brand manager Benedetti Kiiza handed over a dummy cheque of 2m to the winner, a smart phone and a full year scholarship whereas the first runner up and second runner up were given dummy cheques of 1.5 and 1 million shillings respectively. They were also given two and one term scholarship in that particular order.

The day was graced by the attendance of Miss Uganda 2013 Stella Nantubwe. There were also performances from Mun G, Rema and Navio as well as comedians who also cracked student’s ribs and these included Kansiime and Dolibondo who left Barbie smiling wide as he constantly made jokes of her husband.
