Hon. Balaam Barugahara, the Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs, has pledged to support the family of the late Tamale Mirundi, a well-known journalist and former associate.
In a statement, Minister Barugahara described Tamale Mirundi as a courageous and outspoken individual.
He expressed deep sympathy for Mirundi’s family, especially his elderly mother.
“Let’s pray for his mother and family. She is too old and needs our support,” Barugahara said.
He added that those unable to attend the funeral should still contribute by coordinating with the head of Mirundi’s family.
Barugahara also called for forgiveness for any grievances held against Mirundi, stating, “I request all those he annoyed to forgive him so that he may rest in peace.”
The late Tamale Mirundi was a close friend of Minister Barugahara.
Their relationship extended beyond their work in the Patriotic League Unit (PLU), and Mirundi frequently appeared on Barugahara’s radio station, Radio 4, where his political show garnered significant listener support.
