After officially being released by his birth club, Vipers SC, Uganda’s Andres Iniesta in the names of Suleiman Mike Mutyaba has joined Wankulukuku based side Express fc.

Despite scoring 9 league goals and standing only two behind club top scorer (Farouk Miya), Vipers mutually agreed to part ways with their own Mike Mutyaba.

Mutyaba joined Bunamwaya (now Vipers SC) in 2008 as a teenager from record Copa Coca cola winners St. Mary’s Kitende and helped the club to their first ever league crown in 2009/10.

It wasn’t long after then that the youngster caught the eyes of Sudanese outfit El Merriek after an exquisite display at the 2011 CECAFA Club Championships in Tanzania. He joined the Sudanese club but his career there was short lived after the midfielder suffered serious injuries forcing him to return home.

He later joined TP Mazembe of DR Congo at the end of 2012 after recovering but like old adage goes ‘east or west, home is best’, Mutyaba returned home and joined Vipers where he has played for two seasons (2013/14 and 2014/2015), guiding them to their second league trophy last season.

He has now joined Express fc aka Muwagizi wabanji.

“Am happy to announce that I will be playing for Express Football Club next season,” Mutyaba recounted.
