Former Uganda Cranes coach who was chosen to command Uganda’s All Star side, Mike Mutebi has named his squad that will be preparing for the December 12th match against the Barcelona Legends at Namboole Stadium.
Mutebi explained how they came up with the squad saying that they tried to pick players from across generations as he addressed the media at Big Mikes Restaurant in Kololo yesterday.
“We considered great Uganda Cranes players from different generations that will match the class and fitness of the legends,” Mutebi remarked.
Among the key names in his squad is FUFA CEO, Edgar Watson, Phillip Obwinyi, Abubaker Tabula and George Ssemwogerere among others.
During the same media briefing, the KCCA FC head coach named his assistant at the Kasasiro Boys, Sam Ssimbwa and Paul Ssali as his assistants.
The team is expected to kickoff non-residential preparations for the game on 7th December and will later enter into residential camp at Sky Hotel on 10th, two days to match-day.
Meanwhile the Barcelona legends will arrive in the country on 8th December and go for a promotional tour across the country.
Tickets to the game are already on sale and go for 30,000(Ordinary), 150,000(VIP) and 350,000(VVIP).
