To me, a version of Windows just doesn’t seem… complete until there’s the full suite of everyone’s favorite classic games available for the platform. That’s why it’s so exciting that Microsoft has just released that everyone’s favorite bundled games, Solitaire, Minesweeper, and Mahjong are now available for Microsoft’s mobile platform, Windows Phone 8.
While these are very much the classic titles that you (and, more than likely, your parents) already know and love, there are some pretty great enhancements to these versions that make these versions all the more special. Xbox players will be pleased to hear that all three games ship with Achievement support, meaning that you can rack up gamer points on your Xbox Live profile just like your average Xbox title. All three games also ship with support for online leaderboards, online competitions, and statistic tracking.
Solitaire arrives with three of your favorite game modes, including Klondike, Spider, FreeCell and TriPeaks. Minesweeper, meanwhile, has been given somewhat of a facelift but keeps that same classic gameplay that Windows users across the world already know and love. Last but not least, Mahjong features all the modes and touch friendly controls that users already know and love.
