Ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has summoned a squad of 27 players that will be involved in the clash against Togo.
The Serbian named the team that comprises of both local based and professional players today morning during the weekly press conference at FUFA house in Mengo, Kampala where he pointed out that preparations will begin effective immediately.
“FIFA requires a list of 50 players. We submitted that pool but I will summon 27 that we shall pick for the away game in Lome and the return leg in Kampala. Training starts immediately. We are focused and committed towards accomplishing the job,” coach Micho remarked.
In attendance at the conference were three of the summoned players; Tonny Mawejje, Geofrey Kizito and Moses Oloya who expressed their gratitude on being part of the long list.
