With Uganda set for a double encounter in the final bend of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers, Cranes head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has summoned 25 local stars for preparations without senior defender Richard Kassagga.
URA’s recent poor form in the league in which they have lost their last two games and conceded six goals in the process could be the major reason as to why the center back has been left out.
Uganda will play Sudan over two legs in a home and away rotation on 17th and 24th October, 2015 respectively and the victor after both legs will qualify for the finals that will be played in Butale, Kigali Rwanda in 2016.
The Cranes will entertain their opponents at Nakivubo War Memorial Stadium before traveling to Khartoum, Sudan for the return leg.
The squad has kicked off non-residential training today at Paradise Fitness City, Acacia Mall but will later be at Legends ground (former Kampala rugby grounds).
