The Uganda Cranes will be hoping to give Togo a test of their own medicine this week on Wednesday when they pay a visit to Lome for the return leg between the two Group E nations.
The head coach of the Uganda Cranes Miltin ‘Micho’ Sedrojevic who looked as much heartbroken as the passionate fans has remained optimistic after the Cranes’ 1-0 loss to Togo on Saturday. The one nil loss by the Cranes not only became the mother of the Group E battle for slots at Morocco 2015 but also saw Uganda lose their 10-year unbeaten record at home since 2004 when they lost to South Africa by the same margin.
Micho with a grief face apologized to all the football fraternity for the loss by the Cranes as he took the blame for the result and whatever happened on the pitch in what had been considered to be the mark for a turn of events in Uganda’s football chapters.
“Am so sorry that we lost but that is football. Sometimes you win and other times you lose. It isn’t the end of the journey so we still need your support”, Micho with a sorrow face told the media.
He however remains optimistic that the Cranes can get a good result when they travel to Lome, Togo on match day four that will mark the beginning of the return legs of the 2015 Morocco AFCON qualifiers.
“We saw our mistakes plus the weaknesses of our opponents. We will try to analyze the game and put the theory into practice so that we can pick a good a result in the next clash on Wednesday”, Micho revealed. “This is not the end of the journey and the chances are still quite broad for us so we can still make it.”
Uganda have already embarked on their journey that will see them play against Togo in the return leg on Wednesday 15th.
